President Cadge Topics in Higher Education

A New President Learns in 2024-25

President Wendy Cadge devoted her first year to learning everything she could about Bryn Mawr College – past, present, and future. An institutional ethnographer, she walked the campus, visited faculty and staff in their offices, and spent time with students in many locations. She conducted a survey with all students, faculty, and staff, asking what the college should start, stop, and continue. As seen below, results were shared in town-hall meetings with the whole community, as well as her early impressions of the college, all of which included graphic facilitation. She also supported early pilot projects, on student space, innovation in the liberal arts, a summer program for community college students, and a testing center, as we innovate together, testing ideas and building the next chapter.
