Dancers Make Philly Connections

Two students dancing

In the fall, Piper Rolfes ’24 and Kuankuan Hu ’25, both independent majors in dance, performed at the Cannonball Festival, which is part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Tammy Carrasco, the interim director of Bryn Mawr’s Dance Program, choreographed the work, titled Glitter Baby, and performed alongside her students.

The group continues to work on the piece with Philadelphia dance professionals at Fidget Space, an experimental performance venue in Kensington, with funding through the Tri-Co Philly Engagement Grant. They will present the reimagined piece at Bryn Mawr’s Spring Concert in late April.
