Stengths/Values

Empathetic/Authentic: While it is impossible to truly walk in another’s shoes, we can certainly try. When in the company of another, I strive to be an empathetic listener, lift others up, and remove the lenses of judgement by listening with a clear heart and mind. Life’s journeys are unique for each of us. Understanding someone else’s lived experience opens our minds to lessons about so many things, including our own unacknowledged biases. This path guides my life.

Curious/Reflective: I am a lifelong learner filled with questions, especially about the natural world and scientific advancement. I am a keen observer with an eye for zeroing in on things that often escape the visual senses of others—from finding a tiny insect camouflaged on a blade of grass to owl perched motionless on the branch of a tree. The world is full of discoveries yet to revealed.

Tenacious/Resilient: I stay on course and seek solutions by navigating turbulent waters, regardless of whether the tide is high or low. Life delivers unexpected obstacles to our doorsteps throughout life. By taking time to breathe, contemplate options, and chip away at challenges piece by piece, I mindfully try to propel myself over and through them.

Creative/Resourceful: Creativity blends itself in my work and home life. I strive to solve problems through deep reflection to uncover new paths of self-discovery. I also find creative harmony through internal reflection, and beauty in the world, which can include watching a magnificent ballet performance or photographing sleeping bumble bees on flowers in my garden.

My first job after college: A Gallery Educator with the Science Museum of Virginia. I began conquering my fear of public speaking by performing public science demonstrations to teachers, students, and families about static electricity, biology, and air pressure. My favorite demonstration was performing a cow’s eye dissection! I also managed an inspiring group of senior volunteers who became my family away from home.

During college, I worked as: a floral designer, a skill that I developed at W.B. Saul High School, located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.

Outside of work I find inner peace by: spending time with nature among the trees. Plants, birds, and all varieties of insects nurture my mind and spirit. Outside of the natural world, my spirited daughter, who possesses precocious wit fused with a golden heart, husband, and menagerie of pets feed my soul with unconditional love and a dash of chaos!

Causes that I am most passionate about: reproductive rights, seeking sustainable solutions to address climate change, and equitable and inclusive education reform.

Tiffany is a seasoned non-profit professional who brings over 20 years of experience in the philanthropic community spearheading programming for arboreta, natural history museums, and literacy organizations. Her experience has depth and range integrating a variety of administrative capacities from overseeing the implementation of multi-layered grant initiatives to designing impactful community-based educational programming. She has worked at the American Museum of Natural History, the Read Alliance of New York City, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum, and the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Tiffany is continually inspired by the students of Bryn Mawr College, who will trailblazers leading humanity to a brighter future.

Tiffany received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University in Earth Science with a minor in Anthropology.
