Biography
Gene joined Bryn Mawr in May 2021 and leads the endowment’s Marketables effort, which encompasses all long-only public equity strategies as well as diversifying exposures (including equity long-short and credit). Prior to Bryn Mawr, Gene was an equity analyst at a number of hedge funds, most recently for Adakin Capital in NYC, after stints at PRINCo (which manages the Princeton University endowment) and Behrman Capital (a private equity firm). Along the way, Gene found time for a 9-month career break to take intensive Korean language courses at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
Gene began his career as an investment banking analyst for Morgan Stanley’s Financial Institutions Group after graduating from Princeton University with an AB in Economics and a Certificate in Finance and is a CFA charterholder. After over 15 years living in NYC, Gene moved with his family back to New Jersey, where he grew up hanging out at local diners and rooting for the New York Yankees. He’s since discovered an interest in cooking and can often be found trying new foods to sous vide or buying random kitchen gear, but otherwise is doing his best alongside his wife to raise and keep up with his son and daughter.
