Music & Conversation with Lawrence Indik, bariton, and Charles Abramovic, piano
On Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m., the Department of Music presents Music & Conversation with baritone Lawrence Indik and pianist Charlies Abramovic, performing “In Defense of the Art Song.” Their program will celebrate this portable, ambitious, and accessible art form through works by Franz Schubert, Clara Schumann, Henri Duparc, Poldowski (née Régine Wieniawski, Aka Lady Dean Paul) Arnold Schoenberg (Anniversary), Charles Ives (Anniversary,) songs from the Aids Quilt Songbook, Ned Rorem and Lawrence Indik.
This concert will be held at Haverford College in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public. It will also be presented via live stream. For more information reach out to hc-concerts@haverford.edu.
