Assistant Tennis Coach (Temporary)
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Assistant Tennis Coach.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
This position reports to the Head Women’s Tennis Coach and carries responsibility for all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III women’s tennis program. In this role, supporting and assisting the tennis team in all areas are key to developing a competitive and successful program in support of the College’s scholar-athlete approach to collegiate athletics. Support the Head Coach in a range of duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with all aspects of training, hitting sessions, goal setting, recruiting, and other individual player development needs.
- Collaborate with strength and conditioning and athletic training to prepare scholar-athlete for peak performance.
- Provide coaching during matches.
- Support scholar-athletes in their pursuit of balancing their academic and athletic priorities.
DESCRIPTION OF EFFORT AND FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT:
In-season: Continue to assist in all aspects of program development (recruiting, training, player development, providing socio-emotional support, etc.). 20-25 hours/week during September, October, February, March and April. Additional hours in the offseason (3-10 hours per week, depending).
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Collegiate playing experience and/or coaching experience on high school or college level.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

- Experience communicating with individuals of diverse demographics.
- Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
