Three Bryn Mawr Ph.D.s in mathematics, seen collaborating at the weekly analysis seminar held at Eastern University, recently completed an article, "Continuous dependence on modeling in Banach space using a logarithmic approximation," submitted to the proceedings of The 2015 AMMCS-CAIMS Congress, Waterloo, Canada (Applied Mathematics, Modeling and Computational Science).
Walter Huddell (PhD 2002), Beth Campbell-Hetrick (MS, Ph.D. 2006), and Matthew Fury, (PhD 2010) are all professors at area institutions. Huddell is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Mathematics at Eastern University, where he was twice elected Professor of the Year; Campbell-Hetrick is Associate Professor at Gettysburg College; and Fury is Assistant Professor at Penn State, Abington. Dr. Fury presented a preliminary version of this work at the June, 2015 conference in Waterloo. All are former PhD students of Rhonda Hughes, Professor Emerita of Mathematics.
