Learning Objectives
In this 2-day program, we will take a close look at the following:
- Identify the 5 subtle ways exalted attributes within the helping profession sabotage long-term staff performance, client outcomes, & organizational culture.
- Discuss the challenges helping professionals & industry leaders face when attempting to modify the systems they use to serve communities.
- Explore how to ethically navigate the helping profession without using systemic oppression to undermine our collective humanity.
Through discussions, lectures, case examples and activities this 2-day program will offer practical strategies for managing the challenges social workers and industry leaders face when attempting to modify the systems where they work.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of social workers, clinicians and social sector professionals.
