Welcome to a New Academic Year at Bryn Mawr!

September 2, 2025

The below message was sent to all undergraduate students on September 2, 2025.

Hello Undergrad Students of Bryn Mawr:

Whether you are returning to campus or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to welcome you to Bryn Mawr's vibrant and diverse community.

The beginning of a new academic term is always filled with energy, opportunity, and promise. It’s a time to set new goals, build meaningful connections, and engage fully in all that our campus has to offer, both inside and outside the classroom.

We want to remind you that our entire Undergraduate Dean’s Office team is here to support you. From academic resources and student organizations to wellness programs and career services, we are committed to helping you thrive during your time here.

A few items of note:

  • The Undergraduate Student Handbook is found online here – please review it for helpful information about your experience.

  • Please be mindful of cultural and religious holiday dates during this coming academic year by avoiding, when possible, any overlapping scheduling of important campus meetings or events for our broader community.

  • Attend our Fall Frolic event on Thursday, September 4th, from 4:30-7:00 p.m. between Taylor Hall and Old Library (Taylor Drive) to get involved with our 130+ student clubs.

  • As a reminder, students are expected to carry their college-issued ID card at all times on campus. Your ID card is your key to some campus buildings and can also be used to quickly verify your Bryn Mawr affiliation and identity with Campus Safety as needed.

We encourage you to explore, get involved, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need assistance. Your experience here will be shaped not only by what you learn but by how you engage with the community around you.

See you around campus,

Tomiko Jenkins
Interim Dean of the Undergraduate College

David Karen
Interim Provost and Professor of Sociology
