Psychology’s Thomas P. Le Receives Editorial Fellowships

April 11, 2024 Melissa Scott

Assistant Professor of Psychology Thomas P. Le received an editorial fellowship from the American Psychological Association, for three peer-reviewed journals: Psychology of Addictive Behaviors, Health Psychology, and Professional Psychology: Research and Practice.

During the 12-month fellowship, Le will work with editors and associate editors at the three journals to develop editorial leadership skills. These fellowships are designed to increase diversity and the representation of marginalized voices within the peer-review publication process.

From the website:

Each fellow will be mentored to serve as the action editor on approximately 6 to 12 manuscripts over the course of the year. This process will include screening manuscripts for appropriateness, identifying reviewers, making an editorial decision based on reviews, and shepherding the manuscript through to publication if accepted, all with mentorship from the editor or associate editor.

Upon completing the fellowship, Le will join the journals’ editorial board.
