Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Welcome back to Bryn Mawr. I hope you each found time during winter break to rest, visit with friends and loved ones, and perhaps even get a jump start on that New Year’s resolution!
As we embark on a new semester of study and work, I encourage each of you to join me at some of the many opportunities for fellowship, appreciation, education, and fun that foster community on our campus.
Coffee Hour, PopUps, & Office Hours
Coffee Hour: January 26, 10:00am in the Bookstore, featuring a fashion show, 10% discount, and door prizes! Future Coffee Hours will be held on February 22, 2:30 pm; April 5, 9:30 am; and May 3, 3:00 pm.
PopUps – Prepare to be surprised throughout the semester!
President’s Office Hours for students and student groups: February 2, 11:30 am-12:30 pm; March 18, 12:00 – 1:00 pm; and April 12, 10:30 – 11:30 am; each in the President’s Office, 2nd Floor, Taylor Hall.
Awards & Appreciation
McPherson Award: During February, nominate a student, staff, or faculty member for this prestigious honor.
The Senior Staff and Staff Association will each continue to express appreciation through their respective awards that recognize examples of special service to the College.

Talks with Alice Rivlin ’52, former head of the White House Office of Management & Budget and of the Congressional Budget Office: Public talk, February 9, 7:00 pm; LILAC-hosted conversation, February 10, 9:00-10:00 am.
Community Day of Learning: February 23, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Our topic this year is In/Visible: Class on Campus, Class in Our Lives. Watch for the invitation and announcements.
Monthly Community Diversity Discussions: January 28, February 16, March 16, and April 21, each at 6:30 pm in Dalton 300.
Diversity Advisory Group: members of the Board of Trustees’ Diversity Advisory Group invite students to join them and members of the administration on February 5 to talk about strategies for achieving successful diverse communities. Look for an email during the last week of January.
Town Hall with updates on the College's finances, admissions, and upcoming campaign. March 17
