Meet a Mathematician Day
Meet a Mathematician Day is a Bi-Co community event on Saturday, February 21, 2026 (9:30am–2:00pm) that brings us together through stories – people’s paths into mathematics, what shaped them, and what helps them feel a sense of belonging. The program includes a keynote by Rosemarie Bongers (UC Merced), community video screenings featuring Bi-Co students, faculty, staff, and alums, lunch, and a Bi-Co panel conversation. We would love to include more community voices in the video screenings. If you are part of the Bi-Co community, please consider submitting a short video sharing a bit about your relationship with math and the people and moments that have shaped your journey. You don’t have to be a mathematician or a math major to attend or to submit.
