Lantern Night
Come join Bryn Mawr Traditions in the second major tradition of the year! Lantern Night, which symbolizes the passing down of knowledge and wisdom, gifts all Bryn Mawr first-year students with their lanterns. This event links the entire Bryn Mawr community with each other and all of the students who came before us with the symbolic light of knowledge. The ceremony will begin promptly at 8 p.m. Spectators are welcome at the event and will be directed to a viewing area but must leave at the conclusion of the ceremony.
For upperclassmen students who would like to contribute to the ceremony, fill out the following form or email traditions@brynmawr.edu to sign up to be a Candle Lighter! With any questions, comments, concerns, or accommodations, feel free to reach out to traditions@brynmawr.edu!
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
